CHIZMAXX: Azerbaijan wins Eurovision Song Contest 2011!

Azerbaijan has recently won in 2011 Eurovision Song Contest finals held at Düsseldorf Germany on May 14. The song "Running Scared", who won the contest with 221 points, was sung by Eldar Gasimov and Niga Jamal, popularly known as Ell/ Nikki.


Second place was Italy with the song “Follia D’Amore” sung by Raphael Gualazzi, garnering 189 points and in third place was Sweden with the song “Popular” sung by Mika Newton, gaining 185 points.

Meanwhile crowd favorite Jedward of Ireland placed 8th which made some disappointments from fans. Forty-three countries in Europe and some parts of West Asia took part in the annual competition that was watched by an audience of more than 100 million people.

This year's Eurovision motto is "feel your heart beat".
