Country singer Scott McCreery (right), 17, edged out his rival Lauren Alaina (left) in the final showdown of American Idol Season 10 finale.
Over 122 million votes have been casted and the singer from Garner, North Carolina emerged as the winner.
"Thank you so much," he shouted after American Idol host Ryan Seacrest announced the winner.
McCreery is the youngest of all Idol male winners to ever win on American Idol at the age of 17 and the second youngest Idol winner ever behind season 6 winner Jordin Sparks, who was 17 herself when she won in 2007.
His final performance includes singing the songs "Gone" by Montgomery Gentry, George Strait's "Check Yes or No", and his first single "I Love You This Big".
