PAGEANT UPDATES: Priyani Puketapu crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2011!

Twenty year-old Priyani Puketapu (center) was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2011 in a pageant event held at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington on May 1st.
The beauty from Wellington, who stands 5-foot-eight tall,will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12.

First runner-up was Miss North Harbour, Talia Bennett; while Miss Howick, Courtney Ramsdale was named second runner-up.
