CHIZMAXX: Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick visits Manila, Philippines for Penshoppe shoot!

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick arrived in Manila, Philippines Tuesday evening, May 31st. The 27-year-old English actor who played "Chuck Bass" in the top-rating American series Gossip Girl will be the new endorser of Philippine clothing brand "Penshoppe". 

According to reports, Westwick is set to shoot for Penshoppe Pre-Holiday Season 2011 and Penshoppe Summer 2012 campaigns with Australian fashion photographer Darren Tieste in cooperation with international publicity firm PR Asia Worldwide on June 4. Penshoppe Posters with Westwick will be released later this year.

Westwick’s character exudes a unique style impression as magnified on various magazine covers. This is one of the reasons why Penshoppe chose him to be its newest face for upcoming campaigns.

Alex Mendoza, Penshoppe’s brand manager, said that the selection of Westwick as the apparel’s new endorser is to represent the brand’s new revitalized image. 

“We believe it is time to appoint someone on an international scale. It’s time to show everyone that Penshoppe is upgrading to international levels. Someone like Ed fits the mindset and is admired by our market,” he said.

Meanwhile, Westwick wants to meet boxing champion Manny Pacquaio. He will be in the Philippines until Friday.
