PAGEANT UPDATES: Casiguran beauty wins Miss Philippines-Earth 2011!

Athena Mae Imperial from Casiguran, Aurora was crowned Miss Philippines-Earth 2011 during the coronation night on Sunday in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Imperial bested 49 candidates in the pageant. She is a Mass Communication student of the University of the Philippines.


The new beauty titlist admitted that she was surprised when her name was called as the new Miss Philippines Earth.

"Hindi ako makapaniwala. I feel blessed. Isa lang masabi ko, embrace your beauty even your flaws kasi dun ka talaga magsha-shine," Imperial said.

Miss Philippines-Air was Jonavi Raisa Quiray from Puerto Princesa, Miss Philippines-Water was Murielle Adrienne Orais, Miss Philippines Fire was Michelle Gavagan and Miss Philippines Eco Tourism Tarhata Clio Shari Rico of Makati City.
