CelebSPOTLIGHT: Alden Richards

Name: Alden Richards

Alden Richards is a Filipino actor and the newest TV heartthrob who became popular in the TV series "Alakdana". Born as Richard Faulkerson, Jr., this 19-year-old model from Sta. Rosa, Laguna has done numerous TV commercials and print ads. He was also a former candidate to male pageants such as Mr. Sta. Rosa 2009 and Mr. Laguna 2010. Alden also tried to join reality shows like Pinoy Big Brother and StarStruck V but failed to enter the final cut.

Although Alden experienced too many rejections, still he did not quit showbiz. Luckily, in January 2011, GMA 7 gave him a break and Alden was included in the cast of "Alakdana" featuring the neophyte actress Louise De Los Reyes. He also signed a 5-year exclusive contract with GMA 7.
