Murilo Rezende da Silva, Mr. Piaui 2011 and Mr. Brasil 2011 candidate, (photo) was found dead Tuesday morning, August 23rd. The 21-year-old model was found dead at the apartment located in Oscar Freire Street. According to the reports, Rezende and other man named Eugenio Bozola, 52, a system analyst, were stabbed to death by an unknown assailant at the latter's bedroom. The suspect fled after the incident using Bozola's car.
Bozola's body was found in the apartment kitchen while Rezende's body was found in a room with a bag partly covering his head. According to the police chief Paulo Roberto de Oliveira Nascimento, the 14th Police District, there is no sign of forced entry at the site. The building has no surveillance system with cameras and the case was referred to the Department of Homicides and Protection of Persons (DHPP).

Rezende recently joined Mr. Brasil 2011 representing Piaui and ended 6th place overall. According to the organizers of Mr. Brasil, Rezende was a model person and admired by his co-contestants.
Meanwhile, police authorities are taking into consideration the angle of "business rivalry" between Bozola and probably the mastermind. Bozola's brother, Celio (President-Director of Prodesp, a data processing company) was assassinated few years back. On the other hand, Bozola's family, the 52 year-old analyst has no enemies nor he was threatened by someone.
