American model, actor, and photographer Justin Clynes has been named as World's Handsomest Man Alive 2011 by BeautyMania.biz. The 27-year-old Connecticut born hunk defeated 99 other handsome nominees in a worldwide poll of the World's Handsomest Man Alive conducted from April to September 20, 2011. Garnering almost 44% of the total 18,000 votes from the fans made Clynes as the first American to be named as World's Handsomest Man Alive.
Born in Connecticut, Justin Thomas Clynes was raised in Boca Raton, Florida. At the age of 19, Clynes entered the modelling industry, courtesy of his talent agency - Click Talent Management. He then appeared on various fashion magazines and runway and some of his credits include Abercrombie, Macy's, DNKY Underwear, Arizona Jeans, OldSpice, JCPenney, and many more. He was also became a cover model of various magazines including DNA, and has work with well-known photographers like Thomas Synnamon and many more.
As an actor, Clynes became part of TV series 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, and CSI: NY. He also appeared in various theatrical plays including A Chorus Line, The Full Monty, Beauty and the Beast, to name a few.
Justin Clynes speaks Russian, American Southern, and British RP. His favorite sports include soccer, tennis, swimming, baseball, weight lifting, to name a few. His special interest is photography and currently runs a photography studio J Clynes in New York.
Meanwhile, first runner-up was Venezuelan-American Leonardo Corredor while another American Luke Guldan named second runner-up. Indian-American Rishi Idnani and Mister Schweiz 2011 titleholder Luca Ruch named third and fourth runners-up respectively.
Last year's World's Handsomest Man Alive was Guillermo Garcia Becerril, Mister Spain 2009.
