PAGEANT UPDATES: Miss Panama 2012 is Stephanie Vander Werf! Other Winners announced!

EXCLUSIVE - 25-year-old Stephanie Vander Werf of Panama City was crowned Miss Panama 2012 during the pageant finale held at the Riu Plaza Panama Friday evening, March 30. Vander Werf, who is a TV presenter and a graduate of public relations, will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant in December. She stands 1.77 m.

Also crowned that night was Maricely Gonzalez, 23, who holds the Miss World Panama 2012 title. The 1.72 m. tall beauty queen will represent Panama in the Miss World pageant in Ordos, China this August.

Other winners were Karen Jordan, 20 (1.75 m.), Miss International Panama 2012, and Ana Lorena Ibañez,  25 (1.74 m.), Miss Earth Panama 2012.

Meanwhile, Yinela Yero was named first runner-up while Astrid Caballero named Virreina Panama.

Twelve stunning women competed in the pageant.
