PAGEANT UPDATES: Miss Sri Lanka 2012 crowned!


COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - 22-year-old Sumudu Prasadini from Kurunegala (photo) was crowned Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2012 in a pageant gala held at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo. She will represent Sri Lanka in Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia on August 18. 

Runners-up were Vinu Udani Siriwardena and Ramesha Galappathi. 

However, during the coronation Siriwardena was mistakenly crowned as the winner of the pageant. This was corrected immediately after the organizers noticed an error in the calculations. Siriwardena will remain as Miss Sri Lanka 2012 together with Prasadini as her co-titleholder.
