BAKU, Azerbaijan - Swedish singer Loreen emerged as the grand winner of 2012 Eurovision Song Contest held at the Baky Crystal Hall in Baku Saturday evening, May 26.
Garnering 372 points, Loreen's entry "Euphoria" defeated Russia and Serbia, whose entries placed second and third respectively.
The group of grandmothers, Buranovskiye Babushki, with their song "Party for Everybody" garnered 259 points while Serbia's entry, "Nije ljubav stvar (Love is not an Object)" by Željko Joksimović earned 214 points.
Host country Azerbaijan placed fourth overall with their entry "When the Music Dies" interpreted by Sabina Babayeva, earning 150 points.
Meanwhile, the the recipient Marcel Bezençon Awardsare as follows: Azerbaijan (Press Award), and Sweden (Artistic Award and Composer Award).
On the other hand, Stockholm will host Eurovision Song Contest in 2013.
