GLASGOW, Scotland - Nicole Treacy, a 23-year-old psychology student was crowned Miss Scotland 2012 during the glitzy pageant finale held at the Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall, defeating nine other contestants.
The beauty from Paisley is 1.74 m. tall. She will represent Scotland in Miss World 2012 to be held in China on August 18.
Favorite Pamela Beattie, 23, of Cambuslang, came third, while Megan McLean, 19, from Airdrie, was the runner-up.
The winner now takes home a bumper £10,000, a beach photo shoot in
Majorca courtesy of Jet 2, a Fossil handbag, a £250 clothing voucher
from Quiz, and a year’s free hair care from celebrity crimper Taylor
Ferguson.
