LAS VEGAS (Exclusive) - 20-year-old Olivia Culpo has been crowned Miss USA 2012 in a pageant finale held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas Sunday evening, June 3. She was crowned by Alyssa Campanella, Miss USA 2011.

The beauty from Cranston, Rhode Island, will represent the USA at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant to be held later this year. She stands 1.74 m. tall.
Meanwhile, first runner-up is Marylands's Nana Meriwether, 27, while second runner-up is 23-year-old Miss Ohio Audrey Bolte from Ohio. Miss Nevada, Jade Kelsal was third runner-up.
Fourth runner-up was Miss Georgia, Jazz Wilkins.
For the first time, a question was solicited from Twitter for the final question for one of the five finalists. That question, should transgenders be allowed to compete. Culpo answered, "I do think that would be fair, but I can understand that people would be a little apprehensive to take that road."
She also added, "so many people out there who have a need to change for a happier life. I do accept that because I believe it is a free country."

Completing the Top ten are: Alabama (Katherine Webb), Oklahoma (Lauren Lundeen), Texas (Brittany Booker), Colorado (Marybel Gonzalez), and New Jersey (Michelle Leonardo).
Beauties from Tennessee (Jessica Hibbler), Michigan (Kristen Danyal), Louisiana (Erin Edmiston), Maine (Rani Williamson), Georgia (Jazmyn Wilkins), South Carolina (Erika Powell) and Arkansas Kelsey Dow) completed the Top 16.
Miss Arkansas, Kelsey Dow won the public voting, which earned her to advance to the top 16 finalists.
Miss Congeniality is Miss Iowa, Rebecca Hodge while Miss Photogenic went to Miss Oregon, Alaina Bergsma. Both received USD 1,000 from the Miss Universe Organization.
