PAGEANT UPDATES: Marina Rodrigues, Miss Portugal Universe no more!

Marina Rodrigues, the rumored Miss Universe Portugal 2011.

Confirmed: Marina Rodrigues is not Miss Universe Portugal 2011.

This was according to Global Beauties who corrected the entry about Rodrigues representing Portugal in Miss Universe 2011. 


Pageant site Missosology, through its official message board, is the first to break the news that the 26-year-old model and former lover of Cristiano Ronaldo will represent Portugal in Miss Universe 2011 to be held at Sao Paolo, Brazil this September.

Several beauty pageant sites, including Beauty Mania .biz and other specialized pages like Wikipedia’s entry on Miss Universe 2011, reported erroneously that Miss Universe Portugal 2011 has been chosen in the name of Rodrigues.

Upon the clarification from Global Beauties, Miss Universe Portugal 2011 has yet to be chosen, and the local franchiser has yet released a statement about the possible national pageant event that will choose the official representative for Miss Universe pageant.
