CHIZMAXX: Miss California USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella tweets, "If Scotty McCreery wins American Idol, I will not watch the show again!"

Miss California USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella took to her Twitter account Thursday night to swat American Idol finalist Scotty McCreery.

“If Scotty wins American Idol, it will be a confirmation as to why I never watch the show beyond the auditions,” she wrote.

The red-haired beauty did not state reasons why McCreery does not appeal to her but, apparently, she had not been briefed on the public relations dangers of trying to take a bite out of an American Idol contestant.

American Idol is watched by millions of people worldwide while Miss USA pageant is only watched by few, especially the gay pageant fans. Campanella might get the sympathy of her pageant fans but she might also get the anger of the fans of the AI finalist.

Campanella, 21, will face judges, online voters and text voting herself as the Miss USA pageant approaches in June.

Online voting is under way at the Miss USA website. The winner will be named a finalist in the competition.

McCreery will compete against Lauren Alaina next Tuesday night. After the performances, voting will begin and the 2011 winner of American Idol will be announced on Wednesday.

Both American Idol contestants are teens with appeal in the southern United States, where pageants also appear to be most popular.
