The finale of Miss Universe Australia 2011 was held on July 7 at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne. The winner is Perth-native Scherri-Lee Biggs, 20, a Communication student and a part-time model, beat 30 other contestants. The 1.75 m. tall beauty will represent Australia at Miss Universe 2011 pageant to held at Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12.
She was crowned by her predecessor, Jesinta Campbell, who was third placer in Miss Universe 2010.
Aside from the title and the credit of representing Australia in the prestigious pageant owned by Donald Trump, Biggs also received $25,000 prize.
Tegan Martin was named first runner-up and Victoria's Samantha Downie was the second runner-up.
