Ivian Sarcos wins Miss World 2011! |
LONDON - Miss Venezuela, Ivian Sarcos, has been crowned as Miss World 2011 in a pageant held at Earl's Court Two in London, Sunday evening. The 22-year-old beauty from Guanare, Portuguesa, Venezuela was crowned by her predecessor, Alexandria Mills of the USA.
Sarcos, who stands 1.80 m. tall, is a Diplomacy student and her ambition is to become a nun. Upon winning Miss World 2011 title, she will travel the world to promote Miss World causes and Beauty with a Purpose.
First runner-up was 6-foot-tall Filipina beauty named Gwendoline Ruais, 22. The half-French half-Filipina beauty was the first winner under the new directorship of Ms. Cory Quirino. Ruais is a model by profession and she came from well known family, including her grandfather who was a former Mayor of Paris, France.
Miss Puerto Rico, Amanda Villanova, was second runner-up.
Completing the Top 7 finalists are: Alice Mounter (England), Kyung Min Doe (Korea), Jennifer Reoch (Scotland), and Bokang Montjane (South Africa).
